Let Us Help Choosing how to make your home more comfortable can be a confusing process, particularly when people start throwing heating calculations and BTUs around. We have simplified this process to help you choose from a range of stoves or fires based on the approximate size of your room. In order to choose between a stove and a fire there are some considerations but it is mainly personal preference. We can of course help you choose the right type of heat source, just call us on 01208 812800 Fuel Types The most efficient fuel is nearly always gas. The most convenient fuel is electricity. The most cost effective fuel is wood. The most flexible and future proof fuel is multi-fuel. Heat Source Stoves are generally over 70% efficient with some of the contemporary models reaching over 80%! Open fires are less efficient but are hard to beat in terms of character. Installation All stoves, except electric stoves, require a flue pipe which must use an existing chimney or be routed through a wall/ceiling of the building via an external wall or the roof. The cost of installation is lowest with electric fires and stoves as no chimney/flue is required. The cost of installation can vary so please call us for advice.
